viraj hankare

Viraj Hankare is a passionate enthusiast photographer / architect who likes capturing moments be it life, architecture or automobiles.

Through his 16 years of experience, Viraj Hankare has developed a broad understanding of design workflow that is process driven with an interest in design technologies that facilitates informed design decision making.

Hankare has led the design and managed the construction of several of the firm’s prime projects since 2012, including 28LIC, a 600 foot tall luxury rental tower in LIC, notably the tallest residential project in the outer borough, 161 Maiden Lane, a 620 foot tall slender luxury condominium project, an addition to the NYC skyline along South Street Seaport, as well as 209 W14 a boutique luxury condominium project on the fringe of West Village and Chelsea.

Prior to joining Hill West Architects, Viraj was an associate at John Fotiadis Architects, in New York with a focus on designing boutique multifamily residential projects in New York City and Europe. He also worked at architectural firms in the Middle East specializing in multi-unit residential high-rises early in his career.

Hankare is a licensed architect from India and an alumnus of Texas A&M where he received his Master in Architecture.
